Q. What should I pay attention to after the excimer laser?
A.
* You should pay attention below after the excimer laser;
* After the excimer laser, first 24 hours you need to avoid contact with water and you need to not touch your eyes.
* You need to use your drops and medications in full and regularly.
* You could return to your work life from the third day. If your workplace is dusty and inappropriate for health conditions, rest for one week will be suitable.
* You need to avoid cigarette smoke and dusty places minimum of one week, after the process.
* You must avoid swimming in the pool or sea and spa the first month.
* In the first month, you should not do eye makeup. If you do, when putting away the make-up you should not make a hard press to the eyes.
* You need to avoid harsh light. Especially first days, you may have eye sensibility. You need to wear sunglasses for this.
* Especially in the first two weeks, you need to avoid some places with air conditioning or dry air.
* Generally, watering of the eyes may be seen first 3-4 hours.
* On the first day, vision may be blurred. End of the first day, your seeing is returned to normal.
* Swimming, sauna, and Turkish bath(hammam) are forbidden for two weeks.
* Dust atmosphere should be avoided for one week.
* It should be avoided from the swimming pools for six weeks.
* You can wash your face slowly after the evening of the control day.
* You can take a shower after the control day, but shampoo must not contact your eyes.
* You must be careful when using a PC or mobile phone. You need to rest your eyes for five minutes after using a PC or mobile phone for one hour. This rule is important from the standpoint of xerophthalmia (eye dryness).

Q. In which age range can an excimer laser be applied?
A. The excimer laser can be applied between 18-45 ages.

Q. How many minutes does the operation take?
A. 5-10 minutes

Q. Do I get any anesthesia during the operation?
A. Topical anesthesia is applied only. This anesthesia is applied with the drop on the eyes.

Q. Do I need hospitalization after the operation?
A. No, you can discharge on the same day. You need to come back to the clinic for control after one day.

Q. Can the eye numbers come back after LASIK?
A. In the majority of people after Lasik the effect is permanent. However, a small minority of people may notice blurring of vision in the future due to some new eye power. This is either due to minor regression or natural changes occurring in the eye.
