Process Steps
The dentist first checks the fillings in the teeth.
A very small amount of natural dental material needs to be removed—just enough to keep the veneer from looking or feeling bulky on the tooth.
The preparation time depends on how damaged the tooth is and whether it needs to be done with a filling first.
The dentist needs to use a paste-like material to make a mold of your mouth, so the dental technician will make the shape and size of the veneer for you.
The dentist adheres the veneer made by the technician to the tooth at your next visit.
VENEER
Veneers are thin shells that are individually prepared and adhered to the front surface of your teeth to correct minor aesthetic problems. Veneers are typically made of ceramic or composite resin materials and then bonded to your teeth with specially formulated dental cement.
Skins can greatly improve your appearance. They hide imperfections and you lose very little natural tooth material.
Veneers also protect teeth from further damage. The tooth surface can be dissolved by the acid in the mouth (usually consuming certain foods and beverages too often can make the teeth very sensitive to heat and cold. In this case, veneers can protect the teeth.
If the tooth is strong, a veneer is often a better option than a crown to improve the appearance of the tooth.
Treatment process; The first enamel extraction takes 10 to 20 minutes for each tooth. Porcelain veneer may take 3 days to make. It takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to bond the porcelain veneer to the tooth; Adhesion of composite veneers takes approximately 20 minutes to 2 hours. It can resume normal operations immediately after bonding is complete.
