DENTAL IMPLANT

Dental implant surgery is a procedure that replaces tooth roots with metal, screw-like posts, and damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real teeth. Dental implant surgery can offer a welcome alternative to poorly fitting dentures or bridges and an option where the lack of natural tooth roots does not allow for denture or bridged tooth replacements.

A Dental Implant is a small titanium screw placed in the jawbone to replace teeth that are already missing or need to be replaced. Dental Implants are made from titanium because titanium is known to integrate with your natural bone.

Process Steps
The dentist first checks the fillings in the teeth.
A very small amount of natural dental material needs to be removed—just enough to keep the veneer from looking or feeling bulky on the tooth.
The preparation time depends on how damaged the tooth is and whether it needs to be done with a filling first.
The dentist needs to use a paste-like material to make a mold of your mouth, so the dental technician will make the shape and size of the veneer for you.
The dentist adheres the veneer made by the technician to the tooth at your next visit.

VENEER

Veneers are thin shells that are individually prepared and adhered to the front surface of your teeth to correct minor aesthetic problems. Veneers are typically made of ceramic or composite resin materials and then bonded to your teeth with specially formulated dental cement.

Skins can greatly improve your appearance. They hide imperfections and you lose very little natural tooth material.

Veneers also protect teeth from further damage. The tooth surface can be dissolved by the acid in the mouth (usually consuming certain foods and beverages too often can make the teeth very sensitive to heat and cold. In this case, veneers can protect the teeth.

If the tooth is strong, a veneer is often a better option than a crown to improve the appearance of the tooth.

Treatment process; The first enamel extraction takes 10 to 20 minutes for each tooth. Porcelain veneer may take 3 days to make. It takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to bond the porcelain veneer to the tooth; Adhesion of composite veneers takes approximately 20 minutes to 2 hours. It can resume normal operations immediately after bonding is complete.

If you have any of the following items, you can choose crown treatment.
1. The tooth may be weakened because it has a very large filling.
2. You may have colorless fillings and want to improve the appearance of your tooth.
3. You may have had a root filling that requires a crown to protect it.
4. You may have had an accident and damaged the tooth.
5. Can help hold a bridge or denture firmly in place.

CROWNS

Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that are broken or weakened by caries or too large a filling. The crown fits snugly to the rest of the tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape and contour of a natural tooth.
Crowns are made from a variety of materials, and new materials are constantly being introduced. Some of the options currently available are:
1. Porcelain is bonded to precious metal; This is what the majority of crowns are made of. A precious metal base is made, and porcelain is applied in layers on it.
2. Porcelain and composite; Porcelain and composite resin materials can sometimes look the most natural.
3. Precious metal (gold and palladium); these crowns are very strong and long lasting but are usually used on the invisible back of the mouth.
